Jean Chapman

My Yarra River is a sacred place of many moods. Sometimes gently flowing over small rocks and pebbles, where the wattle overhangs the water and drops its blossoms—a magic place of fairies. Sometimes forming deep, murky pools, almost still—a hiding place for trolls. Then other places where it rushes over rocks—tumbles in dappled sunlight and dancing tree shadows—a place of hope and. beauty.
