The Yarra has always been part of my life. Since moving to East Doncaster in 1976, my favourite spot has been the section that flows through Warrandyte.
I like watching the water flowing over and around the rocks and observing the patterns formed. I also enjoy feeding and watching the friendly ducks walking and swimming around.

The area depicted in my quilt block shows the rocks and resulting white water, (this particular spot is only visible while the river water level is low) and the ducks framed by two of the trees.

When I visited again at the end of winter, the wattle flowers had bloomed so I have added some wattle blossom to finish off the scene.
